No let up in the pace set by Barça in the Liga ASOBAL, as they were resounding winners away to Bada Huesca (29-40). That's now 10 wins in 10 games and they are leading the way two points ahead of Logroño, having played a game fewer.
Hallgrimsson back with a bang
Unavailable for the GOG match midweek, Hallgrimsson was straight back at it. The Icelandic keeper played the entire game, putting in a huge performance, making an outstanding 44% of saves. His early efforts allowed Barça to go into the lead (3-7), where they remained throughout.
However, the home side managed to bring it back to within one goal (9-10) before the blaugranes moved up a gear and scored four without reply. It was then a case of you score one, I score one, and that meant Barça led 16-20 at the break, with Dani Fernández top-scoring.
No chance of a slip up
Carlos Ortega's showed professionalism after the break, and those who hadn't played in the first half, such as Petar Cikusa, came in hungry, and allied with good defence, the lead grew even further. Of course, Halgrimsson remained resolute at the other end to help matters.
Good vibes before two games at the Palau
The Barça goals were coming from everywhere, everyone wanted to score goals, and they came relatively easily throughout the game. Ultimately a resounding victory from the leader (29-40) ahead of two games at the Palau this week, first a big Champions League game against PSG on Wednesday (8.45 CET) and then against Balonmano Cuenca on Saturday (5.00pm CET) in the Liga.
