Yesterday, at the Board of Directors meeting held in Sant Cugat, FC Barcelona’s governing body officially recognised a new supporters’ club: the Penya Blaugrana Palautordera.
The origins of this supporters’ club are recent. During the 2024 Christmas holidays, a group of friends who shared a passion for Barça decided to take the next step and set up a supporters club in Palautordera. After confirming that there was no existing club in the town, they held their first meeting in February 2025 to launch the project.
Today, the Penya Blaugrana Palautordera already has 99 members and has enjoyed its first big moment: watching the Real Madrid v Barça clásico together, which marked the start of a series of get-togethers to enjoy every match.
The founders want to promote barcelonisme and encourage young people in the town to get involved. With official status now granted, they plan to hold a formal presentation of the penya. They also intend to take part in the town’s main festivities and organise more social events and activities, making the club a meeting point for all culers in the municipality.
