The FC Barcelona Board of Directors has granted official recognition to the Penya Barcelonista Amics d'Ascó, thereby strengthening the club’s presence in the Terres de l’Ebre region. The Ascó supporters' club thus becomes the 39th official penya in this area.

After several years without an official supporters' club in this town, the new association aims to create a meeting point for Barça fans from Ascó and nearby towns. Supporters will be able to share great experiences watching Barça matches together and enjoying their passion for the club as a community. In fact, despite being a newly established penya, it has already sparked considerable interest among local residents, and many people intend to become members.

Among the planned activities, the Penya Amics d'Ascó will organise trips to the Spotify Camp Nou and the Estadi Johan Cruyff, travel to watch Barça sports teams when they play outside Barcelona, competitions, and social events such as community meals or the installation of large screens to watch matches.

In addition, the penya has begun building ties with other supporters' groups in the area, such as those in La Torre de l’Espanyol, Garcia, Falset, Móra d’Ebre, and Móra la Nova. Its official presentation took place on 19 June at an event open to the entire town.
