Agreement to renew Raphinha's contract to 2028

Contract renewal agreement reached between FC Barcelona and the player Raphael Dias “Raphinha”, who is now set to stay with the Club until 30 June 2028.

The Brazilian forward signed his new contract on Thursday at the Club offices in the presence of FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, first vice-president Rafa Yuste, and Club sporting director Anderson Luis de Souza “Deco”, among others.

Blaugrana since 2022

Raphinha joined FC Barcelona in July 2022 with the aim of becoming the team's starting left winger. Wearing the number 22 in his first season, he did just that, lifting the Liga title, while scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists. The 2023/24 season saw him maintain his level, with 10 goals and 13 assists across all competitions. However, the forward has reached another level in 2024/25, smashing his previous figures.

Raphinha reaches new heights

This season with Hansi Flick on the blaugrana bench has seen real progression for Raphinha. Now one of the team captains, alongside Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal – and Ferran Torres – the forward forms part of a dream attacking outfit, and his output has reached levels that very few players worldwide can reach. Raphinha has scored 34 goals and provided 25 assists in 56 games, while also being the most used player by the German coach.

The season is coming to a close and it has been one of real consolidation for a player who gives everything to defend the blaugrana colours. His talent and good reading of the game go hand in hand with his ability to go the extra mile and do the hard work every day. Self-demanding and self-critical, Raphinha has reached new heights and the Club is set to enjoy his services until at least 2028.
