Trabzonspor 1-4 FC Barcelona: UEFA Youth League champions!

Juliano Belletti’s U19A made history by defeating Trabzonspor 4-1 to claim the UEFA Youth League for a record third time, and which also complete a treble this season after already winning the domestic league and cup.

Diarra’s brace, along with goals from Cuenca and Hugo Alba, secured the victory under the starry skies of Nyon—a city now painted in Barça’s colors, outshining even the blue of Lake Geneva, the white of the Alps, and the green of Swiss nature.

Joan Soler, the club’s youth football director, and José Ramón Alexanko, head of youth development, presented the medals to the champions, while Bojan Krkić, football coordinator, stood proudly with the team.

Happiness demands hard work, and Barça’s youngsters delivered. Despite an early surge from Trabzonspor’s vocal supporters, the culers dominated from the start, breaking through the Turks’ stubborn defense within the first 20 minutes.

Magic number 10

Diarra, wearing the iconic No. 10, fired Barça ahead in the 10th minute with a precise finish after a brilliant team move. The lead doubled soon after when Cuenca pounced on a rebound from a corner. A potential third by Juan Hernández was ruled offside by VAR, but Barça’s control never wavered.

Sealing the triumph

Trabzonspor came out stronger after the break, but Diarra silenced them again, setting up Hugo Alba for the third on 57 minutes. The MVP then completed his double 11 minutes alter, crushing a side that had been unbeaten in Europe all season.

Despite a late consolation goal for the Turks, Barça’s victory was never in doubt. Every player fought relentlessly, outclassing their opponents in every aspect. With this triumph, the team crowned an unforgettable season—adding the Youth League to their Copa and Liga titles.
