Joan Laporta visits Supporters' Clubs in the Canary Islands

Barça Supporters' Clubs in the Canary Islands receive a visit from president Joan Laporta, vice presidents Rafa Yuste and Elena Fort and Social Area director Josep-Ignasi Macià

Ahead of FC Barcelona's game against Las Palmas, representatives from Supporters' Clubs in the Canary Islands, led by the delegate for the Consultant Committee Pedro Ángel Gómez, met up with president Joan Laporta, vice presidents Rafa Yuste and Elena Fort and Social Area director Josep-Ignasi Macià.

Some 60 Supporters' Club members from across the Canary Islands discussed topics of the day with the FC Barcelona president. Joan Laporta thanked the groups for their support and the work they undertake in the region on behalf of Barça. Furthermore, he highlighted the presence of Supporters' Clubs from the various islands such as Tenerife, El Hierro, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, given the difficulty of travel in the territory.

Rafa Yuste and Elena Fort also thanked the Supporters' Clubs for their support for all the FC Barcelona teams despite the physical distance separating them from the city of Barcelona.

Josep-Ignasi Macià also wished to express his gratitude for the effort and dedication involved in the review of Supporters' Clubs. Furthermore, he continued to assure the members that the Club is working hard to offer them more benefits, such as the opportunity to purchase tickets for away trips such as the one to Las Palmas.

The directors also highlighted the importance of supporting not just the football team but also the other professional teams who take part in matches in the Canary Islands such as the basketball team.
