Thursday 14 November was the date of the Johan Cruyff Memorial, organized by the Sitges Veterans Association, with the support of the Sitges Town Hall, at the Municipal Aiguadolç Stadium. The FC Barcelona board was represented by Aureli Mas, alongside the president and vice-president of the Agrupació Barça Jugadors, Juan Manuel Asensi and Rafael Zuviría.
During the morning, two matches were played: the ex-players of FC Barcelona against the Sitges Veterans Foundation and the Dream Team versus Team 14 from the Netherlands. Some former FC Barcelona players who had been coached by Johan Cruyff, such as Guillermo Amor, Eusebio Sacristán, and Andoni Goikoetxea, participated. Jose Mari Bakero and Julio Salinas were also present but did not play. Other ex-Barcelona players, including Santi Ezquerro and Jofre Mateu, as well as several former Dutch internationals, attended to pay their respects.
The Cruyff family led the ceremony, with Jordi Cruyff unveiling a plaque bearing his father's name at the Aiguadolç Municipal Stadium's Walk of Stars.
