Six new supporters' clubs join the Barça family

The FC Barcelona Board of Directors has officially recognised six new supporters' clubs, four abroad and two in Catalonia. These are the Penya Barça Austin (Texas, United States of America), the Penya Barcelonista de Damascus (Syria), the Penya Barcelonista Cracovia (Poland), the Peña Familia Blaugrana de Panamá (La Chorrera, Panama), the Penya Culé Sant Climent de Llobregat (Barcelona) and the Penya Blaugrana Totes Unides Fem Força (Sabadell, Barcelona). This means there are now 1,269 official Barça supporters' clubs.

Two new supporters' clubs in Catalonia

Two of the new supporters' clubs officially recognised by the FC Barcelona Board of Directors are Catalan, namely la Penya Cule Sant Climent de Llobregat and the Penya Blaugrana Totes Unides Fem Força.

Based in Sabadell, the Penya Blaugrana Totes Unides Fem Força was founded with the aim of promoting all things Barça in the region based around the Barça Women first team. They already have 150 members and expect to add more as they follow the team both home and away.

The Penya Culé Sant Climent de Llobregat is the first in the town and has close ties to Sant Climent public entities and the social scene.

Four new supporters' clubs abroad

Four of the new supporters' clubs officially recognised by the Board of Directors are based abroad, further testament to the appeal of a club like Barça beyond the Spotify Camp Nou.

The Penya Barcelonista de Damascus will be the first entity in the country and was founded from a desire to be able to continue watching Barça matches from their base and with an aim of becoming involved in local charity initiatives. Let's not forget that Syria has been seriously impacted by war, with the country's capital where the supporters' club is based seriously affected.

The Penya Barça Austin will be the second in the state of Texas in the United States of America, joining the Penya Blaugrana Houston. The Austin club already has 75 members and hopes to become involved in charity activities too. This supporters' club is also linked to the Barça Academy in the city, and they both aim to come together on initiatives to promote all things Barça in the city.

The new supporters' club in Poland, based in Krakow, adds to the four existing entities, meaning the country has some of the most loyal supporters of the Barça teams, particularly for European competitions. The Penya Barcelonista de Cracòvia began the process for official recognition during the pandemic and they expect membership to grow significantly with the signing of Robert Lewandowski.

Lastly, the Peña Familia Blaugrana de Panamá will be the second entity in this Central American country. It aims to promote all things Barça, as well as Catalan culture in Panamá, given the very close ties to the Casal Català de Panamá. The club currently has 220 members, but numbers are expected to rise now the club has been officially recognised.
