FC Barcelona Femení have landed in Oslo. Now comes the final push in the hunt for a fourth European crown. Standing in their way are the queens of the competition, Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, eight-time winners and the most successful side in Women’s Champions League history.

 

The blaugrana squad flew out to Norway on Thursday ahead of another huge European final. Leaving Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport at around 3.45pm, the team plane (emblazoned with the slogan “Dream, Play, Fly” and featuring images of Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, Caroline Graham Hansen, Claudia Pina, Esmee Brugts, Ewa Pajor, Patri Guijarro and Salma Paralluelo) set course for the Norwegian capital.

After almost four hours in the air, the players and coaching staff touched down in Oslo at 7.30pm, welcomed by drizzle and even a rainbow overhead.

From the airport, the squad headed straight to their hotel to begin the final countdown to Saturday’s showdown. Next up comes one last training session at Ullevaal Stadion, plus the traditional pre-match press conferences with Pere Romeu, Alexia and Graham Hansen.

Another final. Another shot at history. Oslo is ready, and the countdown is officially on.
