Barça winger Anthony Gordon is into the semi-finals of the World Cup with England after a hard fought 2-1 win in extra time over Norway in the quarter-finals. 

Gordon played a pivotal role in the game when he provided the assist for Jude Bellingham to make it 1-1 just before half time after Schjelderup had put Norway ahead.

The former Newcastle man was replaced on 70 minutes in the second half as England needed extra time to get past the Scandinavians, Jude Bellingham's second goal of the game providing decisive to send Thomas Tuchel's team through to just their fourth semi-final in World Cup history. 

Next up are Argentina, who defeated Switzerland in extra time (3-1). Barça's summer signing and his teammates are aiming to win their second World Cup 60 years after the first in 1966.
