Barça 5-1 Vilafranca: Good start to the year

The Barça roller hockey team returned to competition after the Christmas break with a win to begin 2025. David Cáceres' team took a 5-1 win at Digittecnic CPV Capital del Vi from Vilafranca, recording a 12th win in 12 matches in the OK league this season. 

Goals from Alabart (2), Marc Grau, Llorca and Sergi Aragonés led the blaugranes to victory ahead of their next test which on Thursday in the Champions League against Noia in the Palau Blaugrana. 

Alabart opens the scoring

Barça dominated the encounter from the beginning - Barroso hit the post and missed a penalty in the first six minutes. Nevertheless, two minutes later Alabart was able to put the blaugranes ahead with a well placed shot. 

More chances came and Marc Grau hit the post but Barça were only able to take a one goal lead into half time. 

The goals come 

In the second half Barça finally were able to get into gear despite conceding an equaliser to Mendes on 27 minutes. Two minutes later Grau put David Cáceres' side back in front and strikes from Llorca, Alabart and Aragonés in the final 10 minutes secured a comfortable win in the Palau.
