All ready for the Copa del Rey draw

On Wednesday Barça will find out who they will face in the last four of the competition

On Wednesday at 1pm CET the Copa del Rey semi-final draw will take place at the Spanish Football Federation's home in Las Rozas, just outside Madrid. Unlike previous rounds of the competition, the semi-final ties will take place over two legs with the first team out in the draw playing the opening leg at home. 

Along with FC Barcelona the names of Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad will also be in the hat for the semi-finals, all four teams eyeing a possible appearance in the final to be played on 26 April in the La Cartuja stadium in Seville. The first leg of the semi-finals will be played on 25/26/27 February with the return leg coming more than a month later on 1/2/3 April. 

Barça are making their 61st appearance in the semi-finals of the competition, and on 40 occasions they have made it through to the final. In the last five seasons it is the third time that the blaugranes have made a semi-final appearances after meeting Sevilla in 2021 and Real Madrid in 2023. 

In the quarter-finals Barça knocked out Valencia whilst Real Madrid disposed of Leganés, Atlético Madrid beat Getafe and Real Sociedad made their way past Osasuna. 

Three big wins so far 

Barça have been in outstanding goalscoring form in the 2024/25 Copa del Rey so far. In the last 32 they won 4-0 away at Barbastro, before defeating Betis 5-1 at home in the Estadi Olímpic and Valencia 5-0 in Mestalla in subsequent rounds. 14 goals scored and just one conceded is the blaugranes record so far ahead of their semi-final tie.
