Just a week to go until FC Barcelona begin the 2025/26 season. This coming Sunday 13 July, i.e. in 7 day's time, Hansi Flick and the squad will be at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, where the players will be undergoing the medical check-ups that take place at the start of every season.
The following day, Monday 14th, will see the work start on the grass as training gets under way with a double training season, morning and afternoon.
A month and a half break
Let's not forget that the 2024/25 season ended for the blaugranes almost a month and a half ago now, on 25 May, with the 0-3 win against Athletic Club at San Mamés in the final LaLiga gameweek, so the squad have had some time off to recharge the batteries to be ready for the season ahead.
Joan Garcia already joined
Coach Flick will also be able to call on Joan Garcia of course, the fantastic new goalkeeper signed from Espanyol since the end of last season.
Asian tour on the horizon
This return to work is also a prelude to the Barça's Asian tour, with the blaugranes playing three friendly matches during preseason in Japan and South Korea.
Just seven days to go now before Barça get the show on the road once again.
