One of the names of the season for FC Barcelona has to be Ferran Torres García. The blaugrana striker is having his best ever season at the Club after scoring 19 goals and also providing seven assists. On Sunday in Barça's 4-3 win over Real Madrid the man from Valencia created three goals, proving once and for all that he is not just a goalscorer.
Mentality
Ferran has had his best season despite not being a regular starter for Hansi Flick's side. Given a run in the side recently due to Lewandowski's injury, Ferran has also played a big role coming off the bench during the 2024/25 season.
Involved every 73 minutes
His 45 appearances this season have seen Ferran start 19 games and make 26 appearances as a substitute. In 1,921 minutes he has been involved in 26 goals, one for every 73 minutes on the field, an impressive contribution to go along with his work rate and his ability to press from the front.
Memorable performances
Ferran's contribution on Sunday against Real Madrid was the latest in a series of excellent performances this season. The striker scored twice in Barça's win over Borussia Dortmund in the league phase of this season's Champions League. He also scored twice in the league game and once in the Copa del Rey in the Metropolitano in the games against Atlético Madrid and in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid to take the game into extra time.
The figures do not lie, 2024/25 has been the best season for the striker, not just in his time at FC Barcelona but in his whole career as he is has shown that he is more than just a goalscorer.
