Official approved granted by the FC Barcelona Board of Directors for a new penya in Xert, Castellón, adding to those already present in the province.

The Penya Barça Xert was founded in Autumn 2025 by a group of FC Barcelona fans and members on seeing that a lot of culers gathered together to watch Barça matches in the town. This led to the founders going ahead with their plans to create the penya for the FC Barcelona fans in the area. The proposal was widely welcomed and encouraged them to continue with the process.

In fact, there was a lot of interest in the project from the outset and there are currently 80 penya members. Those in charge are convinced that this figure will continue to grow given the activities being planned.

These initiatives include organising dinners to coincide with FC Barcelona matches, involvement in meetings with other penyas in the region and a Penya Day celebration in Xert. The aim is to forge closer ties between the Barça fans in the area and spread Club values among people of all ages.

The new penya also has close ties with the penyas in Traiguera, Sant Mateu, Morella and Vinaròs, with joint activities planned and further collaboration among the Regional Group of the Districts of Castellón.

This latest addition sees Barcelona continue to expand their penyas movement in the region with a new group committed to promoting the Barça values and enriching cultural and social life in Xert.
