Three new penyes join the official supporters’ club census
Peña Barcelonista Blaugranas de Lucena (Lucena, Córdoba), Penya Barça Fans d’Aro (Platja d’Aro, Girona) and Penya Barça Wroclaw (Poland) are the three newest additions to the blaugrana family. FC Barcelona’s Board of Directors granted them official status at its meeting held on the 27th of February, and from now on they will be able to enjoy all the benefits the Club offers its supporters’ clubs.
A new penya in Baix Empordà
Castell–Platja d’Aro–S’Agaró (Girona) now has a new supporters’ club with the creation of Penya Barça Fans d’Aro, whose goal is to strengthen ties among members and supporters in that town. Their first activities include match screenings and occasional trips to Barcelona to visit the Spotify Camp Nou or attend matches of the men’s first team, the women’s team, and other sports sections.
The penya seeks to give special prominence to women’s football, which has a strong presence in the municipality, and aims to become a reference point for younger generations, with a “dynamic spirit” as its core identity. It also hopes to fully integrate into the life of the town by collaborating with municipal activities and other local organizations.
Lucena regains its Barça corner
The PB of Lucena (Córdoba) has also received official status, even though it was founded in 2024. Its founders explain that there had not been a Barça penya in their town for many years. Its president, Raúl Moreno, a Club member, travelled frequently to watch the team play away games and got to know many supporters’ clubs and fellow fans—an experience that inspired him to create a penya of his own. In fact, many towns around Lucena already had official supporters’ clubs, and they too wanted to have their own blaugrana corner at home.
Until now, the club’s activities have been mainly focused on its social headquarters, but one of its future objectives is to organize collective trips to attend Barça matches, both in Barcelona and in other provinces.
Wroclaw, the new Barça hub in Poland
Wroclaw becomes a new blaugrana capital with the creation of its supporters’ club, born from the large number of Barça fans living in the city. Its founding came from the initiative of two FC Barcelona members, Szymon Słomka and Miłosz Śliwiński, who belonged to the Penya Blaugrana de Lodz but believed that a city like Wroclaw, with 700,000 inhabitants, deserved its own supporters’ club.
Currently, they have three club members within their group of supporters and a broad base of followers, and they aim to surpass 100 registered members before the end of 2026.
So far, in addition to organizing match gatherings, the Wroclaw penya has taken part in charity initiatives (including fundraising for a children’s psychiatry unit) and manages the “Barcelona Library,” which helps Barça fans learn more about the Club’s history and stay up to date with current events.
In the future, PB Wroclaw intends to send invitations to all Polish supporters’ clubs to attend a dinner in Barcelona before the Barça–Real Madrid match, to meet one another, explore collaborations, and establish an annual tradition of Polish clubs gathering during El Clásico. Moreover, its members want to learn Catalan—at least enough to understand the anthem and stadium chants to better support the players—and to build relationships with associations linked to Catalan culture.
PB Wroclaw will become the sixth supporters’ club in the country, confirming Poland as one of the main Barça strongholds in Europe.
