Jaén Paraíso Interior 3-2 Barça: Out of the Copa del Rey
The Copa del Rey this season for Barça is over. Tino Pérez's team went down to a 3-2 defeat against Jaén Paraiso Interior in a game that was decided in extra time. Despite coming from behind twice thanks to a brace from Lozano, the blaugranes were undone by a goal in injury time from the home side.
Barça were hit hard even before the game began with the news that Adolfo would be out for around a month with a muscle injury.
Slow start
The blaugranes started well and Lozano went close after six minutes on a couple of occasions. Jaén pressed relentlessly and Barça looked to use counter attack but with little success. The home side sent out a warming hitting the post before João Salla gave them the lead on 13 minutes.
Barça hit back just five minutes later when captain Lozano picked up a rebound to finally find the net. The second half did not start auspiciously for Tino Pérez's team as Rosa stole the ball from blaugrana keeper Dídac to make it 2-1. Again, however, captain Lozano came to the rescue to make it 2-2 and despite chances for a both side, send the game into extra time.
