The celebrations at Peña Barcelonista de Talavera La Real (Badajoz) were attended by Antonio Escudero, vice-president of the FC Barcelona Social Area, together with former player Ricardo Serna.

The mayor of Talavera La Real, Manuela Sancho, welcomed them to the town hall and gave a speech, as did Antonio Escudero.

The festivities continued at the clubhouse, where the club’s president Fernando Carmona and his guests, as well as 40 or so members of the penya, unveiled a commemorative plaque produced by the club secretary Antonio Valle.

A further 100 or so members of PB Talavera La Real and guests from other penyas then enjoyed a gala dinner.

Sunday festivities for Penya Barcelonista Bon Pastor

The day after came the turn of Penya Barcelonista Bon Pastor, from Barcelona, where FC Barcelona was represented by board member Josep Ignasi Macià, who has always been a close follower of penya proceedings. Former Barça player Paco Martínez also attended.

Around a hundred people were there for the lunch, where club president Francesc Pagan gave a welcome speech. Macià also said some words recognising the importance of such long-lasting clubs as Bon Pastor, whose dedication, loyalty and support is so highly appreciated by everyone at FC Barcelona.
