The FC Barcelona goalkeeper, Joan Garcia, has been awarded the 2025/26 LaLiga Zamora trophy after a season in which he has shown consistency and decisiveness in goal. The award confirms his key role in ensuring the team remained solid in defence during a season when his saves made the difference to help win LaLiga.
The stats behind the trophy win
The Catalan played 30 games over a total of 2,790 minutes, during which he conceded 21 goals at an average of 0.7 goals per game. He also made 20 decisive saves throughout the league season, establishing himself as a key player for the blaugranes.
This means he has won the Zamora trophy in his first season with the Club, the best possible debut with consistent performances throughout the season and notable saves in key games that kept the team in the hunt for the title.
Blaugrana Zamora trophy winners
The award means Barça have now won the Zamora trophy 22 times in total by 12 different blaugrana keepers. There were notably five wins for Ramallets and Valdés, and three for Sadurní. The other former blaugrana Zamora winners are Velasco, Pesudo, Miguel Reina, Artola, Urruti, Zubizarreta, Bravo and Ter Stegen, all of whom won one each.
